According to the Annual Report of the Greek National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings (2019, 01/01/19- 31/01/20), 49 of the 154 identified victims of human trafficking in Greece are children; 11 of them are unaccompanied minors. It has been observed that girls are more likely to become victims of sexual exploitation and to be forced into begging. 25 of the victims have Greek citizenship; 19 of them are children, many of whom have been forced into begging, in some cases by their own parents.
