Politicians in Europe answer children's questions about COVID-19

Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg and the First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon have answered questions regarding COVID-19, sent to them by children.
Children wanted to know when they could give hugs to their friends again; when they could have birthday parties for the whole class; when they could visit their grandparents again; when they would get back to school; what could the virus do to people; how did the coronavirus come to their country; if their pets could get infected; when they would be able to use the play parks again; what would happen with their summer holiday.
An 11 year old girl also asked the First Minister of Scotland who is taking care of her mental health.
All answers to children’s question were given in a child-friendly atmosphere and language.
Such initiatives are exquisite as they fully acknowledge the right of the child to freedom of expression, including freedom to seek and receive information (article 13 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child); and the right of the child to have access to information and material from a diversity of national and international sources, especially those aimed at the promotion of her or his well-being, physical and mental health (article 17 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child).
