The Greek Ombudsman has issued a special report that focuses on children, who are temporarily or permanently deprived of their family environment. 
The report encompasses updated information on this topic. It indicates the existing problems relating to children’s placement in institutions in Greece and identifies actions that should take place in order to achieve a transition from institutional to community-based child care services.
